The Clinic Group (TCG), a leading healthcare institution in Eswatini, recently marked its Clinic Week with events highlighting its commitment to patient care and professional development.

The week-long celebration was not only a reflection of TCG’s dedication to healthcare but also an opportunity to showcase their innovative programs designed to enhance the experience of expectant mothers and their families.

Dr Kabulu Arnauld, a Gynaecologist & Obstetrician at The Clinic Group, shared a heartwarming account from the week, revealing that TCG welcomed six newborns into the world, born to five mothers in a single day.

This remarkable achievement was complemented by the successful performance of five Caesarean sections, underscoring the skill and dedication of the medical team.

“We have been going through magic maternity,” Dr. Arnauld remarked, referring to TCG’s unique program aimed at providing comprehensive care for expectant mothers.

The Magic Maternity program is a cornerstone of TCG’s approach to maternal health. It offers a series of classes for pregnant women, focusing on antenatal visits that screen for risk factors to ensure better outcomes for both mothers and babies.

“This is a special programme where we organise classes for pregnant women, and they’ve been coming for antenatal visits for screening of risk factors for a better outcome,” Dr. Arnauld explained.

As part of the program, TCG provides a carefully curated pack for new mothers, which includes essential items such as surgical spirits, baby bum cream, wipes, maternity pads, and nappies for newborns.

Additionally, the pack features “baby passports,” distinctive blue ones for boys and pink ones for girls, designed to guide parents in raising their children.

These passports contain vital information, including nutrition guidelines and important signs to watch for, as well as tips on how to hold and play with their babies.

“As The Clinic Group, we are proud to introduce our baby passports, which are an all-in-one manual that will help you or guide you on how to grow your baby,” Dr. Arnauld stated.

Through the acclaimed Magic Maternity program, expectant mothers benefit from a range of services, including free prenatal check-ups and consultations, access to obstetricians, midwives, and nutritionists, as well as practical support on breastfeeding, infant care, and postnatal recovery.

“Magic Maternity is more than a program; it is a journey of empowerment. We walk with the mother from the first heartbeat she hears to the first step her child takes,” emphasised Dr Khotso Ramphele, the Medical Director at The Clinic Group.

The Clinic Group’s Managing Director, Gcinekile Nxumalo, echoed this sentiment, stating that the organisation is deeply committed to the well-being of the community. “As The Clinic Group, we are more focused on the well-being of people and delivering that with care,” Nxumalo remarked.

The Clinic Group has also collaborated with the Eswatini Resuscitation Council and AfriCare Emergency Assist 1112 to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) training for nurses and support staff.

“At The Clinic Group, we are dedicated to ensuring our teams are aligned, empowered, and well-prepared. Training sessions like this are more than just routine; they represent crucial investments in enhancing our real-time response skills and ensuring our staff are equipped, competent, and confident in handling emergency situations,” stated Nxumalo.

Sr. Emerencia Stewart-Ngubane, Manzini Clinic & Matsapha Health Nursing Supervisor, stated, “As The Clinic Group, BLS training is a requirement for safe and effective nursing care.

Nurses need to undergo Basic Life Support (BLS) training because they are often the first responders in emergencies. BLS equips them to act quickly during cardiac arrest or respiratory failure.

This training builds team readiness and enhances confidence in handling critical situations effectively. Practical skills help reduce panic and errors in high-pressure situations.”

At The Clinic Group, the core values of Agility, Accountability, Teamwork, Commitment, and Embrace Change are integral to their mission of achieving excellence in healthcare.

These values foster a dynamic environment where the staff can swiftly adapt to the evolving needs of patients, take responsibility for their actions, collaborate effectively, and remain dedicated to providing the highest quality care.

By embracing change, The Clinic Group continuously innovates and improves its services to better serve the community.

As Managing Director Gcinekile Nxumalo stated, “Our core values are not just words on a wall; they are the foundation of our commitment to excellence and the guiding principles that shape our interactions with patients and each other.”

This unwavering focus on core values ensures that The Clinic Group remains at the forefront of healthcare in Eswatini, dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.

The events of Clinic Week not only highlighted the exceptional services provided by The Clinic Group but also served as a reminder of the importance of community engagement and support in the healthcare sector.

With a focus on innovation, compassion, and professional excellence, The Clinic Group continues to set a benchmark in patient care, ensuring that every mother and child receives the best possible support during one of the most critical times in their lives.
